All government and private healthcare facilities have been permitted to restore the elective surgeries in the district.

However, “it should ensure that Level-3 Capacity for Covid-19 is not to be compromised”, said the Deputy Commissioner.

The decision has been taken because of the relatively lesser pressure on the healthcare facilities, owing to the general decline in Covid-19 cases statewide.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
