Cultural events, performances and competitions marked the conclusion of the 48th Rose Festival in Sector 16, Chanigarh, today.

Chief guests Mayor Raj Bala Malik and Municipal Corporation Commissioner KK Yadav distributed prizes to the winners.

Malik lauded all the officials who made the festival a big success. Ravi Kant Sharma, Senior Deputy Mayor, councillors and senior officials were present during the prize distribution function.

On the third day, a Live Band Show was organised and famous magician Pardeep Kumar presented a magic show.

Gatka was played by Darshan Singh and his team from Mani Majra.

The day started with classical musical performance by Swar Ragini Maestro Pt Subhash Ghosh, who dedicated his performance as a tribute to Indian soldiers and enthralled audience with a special presentation “Basant”.

On the spot painting competitions were also held during the day. Aryan Raj, in disability category stood first consecutively in the Rose Festival for the past four years.
