Himanshu Shekhar and Tuba Sehar won the men’s and women’s titles on the concluding day of the 27th St Stephen’s Carrom Ranking Tournament.

In the men’s singles, Shekhar bounced back after going down 15-18 in the first game against Gopal Kakkar. In the second and third game, he logged 16-4 24-8 victory. Paras Arora claimed the third position by defeating Sudhir Sidhu 14-8 19-5 25-0. In semifinals, Shekhar had defeated Sidhu 12-13 23-0 25-13, and Kakkar posted a 23-12 11-17 24-8 win over Arora.

In the women’s final, Tuba showed her class against Maryam by logging a 25-0 25-14 win. In semis, Tuba defeated Vaidhavi Mamgain 23-21 13-11 and Maryam thrashed Sangini Mamgain 24-10 20-21 22-9. Sangini Mamgain defeated Vaidhavi Mamgain 23-18 25-11. Tanishq Badoni won the boys’ sub-junior final by defeating Mohamed Sameer 13-8 9-8. Mohammed Armaan defeated Priyansh Mittal 6-0 9-4 to finis third. In semis, Sameer defeated Priyansh Mittal 20-1 21-0, while Tanishq Badoni defeated Mohamed Armaan 21-0 21-0.

Khushi Aggarwal won the girls’ sub-junior final by defeating Kashika Verma 23-0 17-0. In semis, Kashika defeated Samaira Madaan 6-0 0-2 4-3, while Khushi defeated Mudra 12-6 20-12. Mudra defeated Samaira Madaan 11-0 18-0 to claim the third position.
