The faculty of the Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Sector 26, has been on a pen-down strike since November 27, 2024, in protest against fraudulent seniority list submitted to the Panjab University by the management of the institute. In this context, the DCDC and DR (Colleges) visited protesting faculty members on Tuesday and patiently heard their issues. The DCDC assured the faculty that their issues would be resolved within seven days. The management assured that if the faculty started taking classes, the withheld salary of December 2024 would be released. On this assurance, the faculty started taking classes, while continuing their protest.
