According to the police, stolen items, including gold jewellery and expensive, branded clothes, were recovered from the woman, identified as Manisha, after a thorough investigation.

On January 13 this year, Aisleen Kaur and her husband Karan Sayal, residents of Sector 4, had filed a complaint, alleging that on January 9, they discovered their jewellery box had been broken into and gold jewellery and cash missing.

The police registered a theft case and began an investigation into it. The probe involved taking fingerprints with the help of a forensic team and questioning the workers at the house. The complainants had raised the finger of suspicion at Manisha, who cooked food at their home. Based on this suspicion, the police interrogated her. She was arrested yesterday after the police were sure of her involvement in the crime.

The suspect, originally from Hardoi district in Uttar Pradesh, had been living in a rented house in Mani Majra. After her arrest, the police recovered a gold bangle, a pair of earrings, a gold ring, a gold set, a gold and diamond bracelet, a gold and diamond ring, a gold necklace, and branded clothes and shoes worth lakhs of rupees.
