Kaur, 60, has made headlines in the business world by becoming the first female CFO in 160 years of the HSBC, the financial services group located in London. A grandniece of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Pam Kaur has a house in city’s Sector 8.

A classmate of Kaur recalled that she had performed a role of an old lady in a Pakistani play ‘Quknas’, which was directed by their teacher Prahlad Aggarwal. “She seemed like one who would do something big in her field of choice,” another batchmate of hers said.

Pam Kaur’s appointment as the CFO of HSBC marks a significant step in her distinguished career in finance. With a wealth of experience in the banking sector, Kaur is poised to play a pivotal role in steering HSBC’s financial strategy during a time of rapid changes in the global market. Her expertise in risk management and sustainable growth will be crucial as HSBC navigates the challenges and opportunities ahead.
