During the operation, road networks and Damp Proof Courses (DPCs) constructed in unauthorised colonies in the villages of Batour, Barwala and Manak Tabra were demolished using JCB machines.
The action was undertaken in the presence of Duty Magistrate Ashok Kumar, Assistant Town Planner Dimpy Rathi, Assistant Town Planner Panchkula, Junior Engineers Shanu Raman and Anil, along with heavy police deployment to maintain order.
District Town Planner Narang informed that prior to this action, the department had issued notices to those responsible, but as the illegal constructions and roads were not removed voluntarily, the demolition drive had to be conducted. He further emphasised that no colony or construction can be developed without the approval of the Director, Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana.
Narang warned that strict legal action will continue to be taken against those involved in such unauthorised developments. He appealed to the public not to invest in or purchase plots in illegal colonies and urged individuals to obtain the necessary permissions from the department before carrying out any construction. He reiterated that no building or colony should be developed without securing the required CLU or licence approval.
