The Excise Department and the police raided Mickey Restaurant on Landran Road, Kharar, and recovered 105 bottles of beer and 37 bottles of English liquor. Liquor meant for sale in Chandigarh was hidden in a generator installed outside restaurant.

Inspector Vikas Bhateja of the Excise Department said they received secret information about illegal liquor kept at restaurant which was sold to customers at night. Acting on the tip-off, a raid was conducted at the restaurant on Thursday and liquor was recovered. Owner of the eatery fled from the spot, he added.
