Chandigarh: The UT police have booked an immigration consultant for cheating. Gursewak Singh, a resident of Rajasthan, had alleged that a woman from Freebird Consultant Visa, Sector 34, cheated him out of Rs 4.95 lakh on the pretext of providing work permit. A case has been registered at the Sector 34 police station. TNS

Thieves strike at Sector 41 house

Chandigarh: Valuables and Rs 1.30 lakh have been stolen from a house in Sector 41. Sanjeev Kumar alleged that unidentified persons stole cash, two wrist watches and headphones from his house. The police have registered a case at the Sector 39 police station and started investigation.
