The police have registered cheating cases against three immigration consultants for duping people on the pretext of sending them abroad.

In one of the incidents, complainant Manish of Delhi had alleged that Harpal Singh, who had an office in Sector 8, defrauded him of Rs 1.14 lakh.

Another case has been registered on the complaint of Gursahib Singh of Moga against Ravinder Singh Brar, who allegedly cheated him and others to the tune of Rs 90 lakh. The police said Rahul Singla of Mani Majra had also been booked on the complaint of a woman who alleged that he duped her of Rs 1.25 lakh.

Investigation in all three cases have been initiated.
