A seven-day online faculty development programme on the theme search, research and publication ethics for faculty members of colleges and universities started today.

The course is organised by the UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), Panjab University, and Post Graduate Government College for Girls (PGGCG), Sector 42, under the aegis of RUSA, UT, Chandigarh.

Prof SK Tomar, Honorary Director, HRDC, PU, and Prof BS Dhaiya, former Vice-Chancellor, Kurukshetra University, inaugurated the event. Dr Dilip Kumar, who was the guest of honour for the programme, discussed importance of research for teaching fraternity.

Prof Nisha Aggarwal, Principal, PGGCG, Sector 42, thanked the UGC-HRDC, PU, Chandigarh, for granting permission to do this course.

Dr Wiqas Ghai, Associate Professor from RIMT University, Mandi Gobindgarh, and Prof Sunil Dutt from the NITTTR, Chandigarh, took two technical sessions of the day. As many as 41 participants from all over the country have enrolled for the programme. — TNS
