Varsity celebrates foundation day

Fatehgarh Sahib: Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University here celebrated its 18th Foundation Day with deep reverence and enthusiasm. Vice-Chancellor Prof Prit Pal Singh congratulated the students, faculty and staff on the successful completion of 17 years of the university’s journey. Highlighting the achievements of the 2024–25 academic year, he appreciated the dedication of students and staff who have excelled not only in academics but also in sports and cultural activities, bringing laurels to the university.

Over 80 blood units collected

Mohali: The Rayat Bahra Dental College and Hospital and NSS Club of Rayat Bahra University, in collaboration with Rotary Club, Chandigarh, organised a blood donation camp. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation of over 80 donors.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
