Panchkula: A 13-year-old girl, who had gone missing from her home four days ago due to a family dispute, was rescued by the police from Agra, Uttar Pradesh. A team led by SI Didar Singh traced the girl using CCTV footage and technical support. She had travelled alone to Agra by train. After completing legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her family members.

Woman’s gold chain snatched

Chandigarh: An incident of chain snatching has been reported in the city. The complainant stated that an unidentified motorcycle-borne man snatched her gold chain in Sector 46-D and sped away. A case has been registered under Section 304 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Sector 34 police station. The police have launched an investigation and are examining the footage of CCTVs installed in the area to identify the miscreant.
