DSP Charanjit Singh Virk, spokesperson, Chandigarh Police, said traffic nakas were laid in different parts of the city, including Sector 26 and 35, to keep a watch on traffic violators.

“Although arrangements were made to check drunken driving, nobody was found driving under the influence of liquor. Those suspected of driving under the influence of liquor are asked to get their blood test done,” the DSP said. — TNS
