Inter-school football meet final today

Sri Chaitanya Techno School (SCTC), Sector 44, will face Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 37, in the final of the inter-school football tournament for the boys U-14 category, at the grounds of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 23.

In their respective semifinals played today, the Sector 44 team posted a 4-0 win over St Anne’s School, with Olver scoring a hat-trick. He scored the opening goal in the 2nd minute, followed by two more goals in the 10th minute and 12th minute. Serto netted the last goal in the 36th minute.

Meanwhile, the Sector 37 team posted 5-0 win over Gurukul Global, Manimajra. The Sector 37 team dominated the Manimajra outfit, as Malagam netted the opening goal in the 3rd minute. Yengkhom doubled the lead in the 17th minute, while Krishna making it 3-0 in the 23rd minute. Malagam scored his second goal to make it 4-0 in the 27th minute, and Meaven Kumar posted the final goal in the 42nd minute.

Meanwhile, in the boys’ U-14 cricket tournament, MDAV School, Sector 22, posted a 37-run win over Government Model High School (GMHS), Sector 28. Batting first, the Sector 22 team posted 70/4 in allotted overs with the help of Ansh (25) and Hunar (10). Ankit picked two wickets for the bowling side. In reply, the government school team managed 33 as Karan (16) and Jatin (2) scored major runs.

GMHS, Sector 38, posted a 26-run win over GMSSS, Sector 32. Government High School, Sector 54, defeated Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, by 10 wickets and St Soldier’s School, Sector 28, posted a 52-run win over Ashiana School, Sector 46.
