Dr Bharat underlined that the ultimate goal of education was to inspire the next generation of learners to find their passions, hone their skills and help them to continue the quest for personal growth. He also emphasised that education not only helped in personality development of a child but also played a vital role in ‘character building’ which couldn’t be undermined at any cost.

He underlined various career options available to the students in the higher education institutions in general and the PU in particular. There were three sessions for the students from various streams, which were followed by a question-answer session and a quiz.

“Samagra Shiksha” is an overarching programme for the school education sector extending from pre-school to Class XII and has the broader goal of improving school effectiveness measured in terms of equal opportunities for schooling and equitable learning outcomes. — TNS
