Isheeta Midha stunned second seed Akshdha Sharma to win the girls’ U-12 title on the concluding day of the Roots-AITA Talent Series (TS7) Tennis Tournament at Zirakpur today. Isheeta won 6-2 6-3.

The boys’ U-14 title went to Armaan Walia. He registered a 6-2 7-6(2) win over Aksh Jood in the final.

In the girl’s U-14 competition, Ayushi Prajapat upset third seed Radha to claim the title. Ayushi won 6-1 6-2. Ayushi though had to face defeat in the doubles final. Paring with Akshdha Sharma, the third seed duo went down 4-6 6-1 3-10 to second seeds Shriya Singh and Isheeta.

Harwin Singh, meanwhile, had an easy outing against Aryan Jolly. He won the final 6-4 6-1.
