Ishroop Narang shines at asian judo meet

Chandigarh: Local judoka Ishroop Narang (17) bagged bronze medal in the recently concluded Junior Asian Judo Championship at Mungyeong (Korea). Ishroop, a student of MCM DAV College, Sector 36, claimed the third position in -78kg weight category. She trains under the UT Sports Department coach, Vivek Thakur, at the Sector 34 Sports Complex. Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Football Association has selected a local team for the Sub-Junior Girls National Football Championship to be held at Neemuch ( Madhya Pradesh) from September 8 to 13.
