After a showcase of riding skills at the 43rd All-India Police Equestrian Championship and Mounted Police Duty Meet 2024-25, the first winners were crowned across various categories today.

Indo Tibetan Border Police ASI Satpal won the Farrier Competition. Dr RS Rana secured first place in the Novice Individual event with horse Snow Ball. ITBP’s “A” team also won the Novice Team event.

Punjab Police’s Inderveer Singh won the Open Hack event with his horse Innocent Affair, while rifleman BR Jaina from Assam Rifles topped the Tent Pegging (Individual) event with his horse Glorious. Shiv Pratap Singh from SVPNPA won the Syces event with his 0horse Terisor, while Constable Manoj Kumar from Bihar Police took home the Show Jumping Open Six Bar crown with his horse Komal.

CRPF’s Samarjeet Singh and his horse Mirza shone in the Mental Hazard Test, while Priyadarshini Das from CRPF won the Women Hacks event with her horse Alejandro. Haryana Police’s Ayush Yadav stood atop the podium in the Show Jumping SP/DSP event with his horse Preeti. —TNS
