A joint inspection of the ongoing works of the sewage treatment plant (STP) and sewer line laying project in the Nayagaon Municipal Council was conducted today by Executive Officer Manpreet Singh, along with SDO Harbhajan Singh and Water Supply and Sanitation Board SDO Deepak Kumar. They were accompanied by Junior Engineers Pardeep Sharma and. Gurpreet Singh.

During inspection, officials checked various components of the project, including the STP site, sewer line alignments, and the Kansal area, where a pump station is proposed to be installed to ensure efficient sewage management. The team also reviewed layout and site preparation works in the Kansal area to facilitate the smooth execution of the upcoming phase of the project.

Manpreet Singh directed the contractor to expedite work and ensure its completion within the stipulated timeframe, adhering strictly to quality and safety standards. He also emphasised on the need for close coordination among departments to prevent delays and maintain uninterrupted progress.

The timely completion of the STP, sewer line, and pump station would significantly strengthen the sanitation infrastructure and improve civic amenities for residents of Naya Gaon and adjoining areas, including Kansal.
