On the opening day of the kho kho tournament organised by Chandigarh Sports Department, Government Model Senior Secondary School, Kaimbwala, registered a five point and one-turn win over Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 27, in the boys’ U-17 category.

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Senior Secondary School, Sector 35, logged a 13-point win over Government Model High School, Sector 32. Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 45, logged a one-point win over MDAV School, Sector 22, and Government Model High School, Sector 7, moved ahead by defeating DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8, by 9 points.

In the girls’ U-17 pre-quarterfinals, Sri Guru Gobind Senior Secondary School, Sector 35, logged an 11-point win over Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 8, and St Kabir School, Sector 26, defeated Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 27, by eight points. Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 45, logged a one-point win over MDAV School, Sector 22.
