Kalgidhar Trust announces completion of 100 homes for flood victims; Kanwar Grewal lauds relief work

Through this song, he expressed how Punjab stands strong with courage and compassion in every crisis and faces every challenge with the spirit of seva (selfless service).
On the occasion, he appreciated the extensive relief work carried out by the Kalgidhar Trust and Akal Academies during the Punjab floods.
During the event, the Kalgidhar Trust announced that 100 new houses for flood-affected families have been fully completed. The project was executed under the leadership of Dr Davinder Singh and Bhai Jagjit Singh and with the generous support of donors, said a press release.
Grewal shared that from August 26, the Trust initiated large-scale relief work across flood-affected regions in Punjab. As many as 5,500 people were rescued from 86 villages using boats; relief camps were established at Akal Academies; and the Trust carried out large-scale distribution of relief material.
With the construction of houses now completed, the Trust reaffirmed that its efforts in rescue, relief, and long-term rehabilitation will continue so that affected families can rebuild their lives.
