Devang Kaushik came up with a brilliant century to help Talanoa Tigers secure a commanding 34-run victory over Punjab Panthers during the Chandrashekhar Azad T20 Tournament at Tau Devi Lal Stadium.

Batting first, the Tigers posted a formidable 191/4 in 20 overs. Kaushik posted 104 off 59 balls, with nine boundaries and seven sixes. Skipper Raj Angad Bawa contributed with 29 off 10 balls, and Akshit Rana 25. In reply, Punjab Panthers were restricted to 157/9. Vikas Kumar contributed 32 to the team’s total. Hardik Chowdhry and Taranpreet Singh picked two wickets each for the bowling side.

In another match, Manohar Mavericks faced their fourth consecutive defeat. The team went down by 16 runs against City Challengers. Chasing a modest target of 156, the Mavericks’ batters faltered and the team were restricted to 139/9 in 20 overs. Despite half centuries by unbeaten Gaurav Puri (52) and Bhagmender Lather (50), the team couldn’t achieve the target. Ivraj Ranauta and Amrit Lubana took two wickets each. Earlier, Sanyam Saini posted 64 off 36 balls to help the Challengers achieve 155/9.
