Found: A local youth on walk noticed something suspicious—a towel hanging from the car door—and found the occupants unresponsive, with signs of vomiting.

Last words: The seventh member was found breathing with difficulty, yet managed to tell a passerby that his family was under huge debt and that he was going to die.

Investigation: Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and interviewing locals. As of now, suicide is the suspected cause, but all possibilities are being explored.

A relative of the deceased told reporters that the family originally lived in Panchkula and had returned to the city recently after living in Dehradun for a few years.
