Chandigarh, February 24
Panjab University shooters won three silver medals at the ongoing Khelo India University Games in Guwahati.
The team of Yashaswani Aggarwal, Mahit Sandhu and Himani Poonia claimed the second position in the women’s 50m rifle 3 position event. The team of GNDU, Amritsar, finished first, and Savitribai Phule University claimed the bronze.
In the women’s 10m rifle event, Manya Mittal, Mahit and Himani claimed the second position. Kurukshetra University secured the first place and Adamas University finished third. The mixed team of Majit Sandhu and Taj Goel claimed silver medal in the 10m air rifle event.
Wrestlers win medals too
PU grappler Hunny claimed gold in the women’s below 50kg category. She claimed the title in the freestyle event. Meanwhile, Deepti claimed bronze medal in the freestyle event of the women’s below 59kg category.
