Khuda Lahora girls win inter-school football tournament

Mohini stunned the Sector 22 defence by putting the Khuda Lahora side ahead in the opening minute of the match.
As the Sector 22 eves were recovering from the early shock, Luxmi doubled the lead in the fourth minute to further strengthen Khuda Lahora outfit. The side enjoyed the lead for a little time, as Sanjana scored a brace (13th, 29th) for the Sector 22 team to level the scores.
After the first-half ended at 2-2, both teams came well prepared in the second-half and played exciting football. However, Mohini netted the winning goal for the Khuda Lahora team in the 59th minute—just before the final whistle. GMSSS, Sector 21, claimed the third position by posting a 3-0 win over Vivek High School, Sector 38. Nikita (13th,29th) scored two goals, while Prachi (10th) netted one.
Sec 10 school clinch boys’ fencing title
The epee team of GMSSS, Sector 10, won the boys’ inter-school fencing tournament, followed by Kundan International School, Sector 46, at second position. GMSSS, Sector 15, and Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School (SGHPS), Sector 40, finished at third position. In the foil event, SGHPS claimed the first position, while Chitkara International School, Sector 25, finished second. GMSSS, Sector 15, and GMSSS, Sector 10, shared the third position.
DAV School, Sector 8, won the sabre event, followed by GMSSS, Sector 10, at second position. Saupin’s School, Sector 32, finished third with GMSSS, Mani Majra Housing Complex.
In the girls’ U-14 inter-school baseball tournament, Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, posted a 25-23 win over AKSIPS, Sector 45, while Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, registered a 7-6 victory over GMSSS, Sector 33. GMSSS, Sector 16, posted a 11-01 win over St Anne’s School, Sector 32.
