The Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities, Iqbal Singh Lalpura, has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the renewal of the Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor agreement.

India and Pakistan have renewed the agreement for another five years.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a significant gift to the Sikh community by renewing the agreement before the Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev,” Lalpura said.

Under the agreement which was signed between the two countries on October 24, 2019, pilgrims from India have been facilitated to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, Narowal, in Pakistan through the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor.
