Latika Sharma joins Shakti Rani’s poll campaign during Khattar’s visit

Earlier, she seemed disgruntled over not being given ticket

Apparently, the BJP has managed to pacify incumbent MLA Latika Sharma, who earlier seemed disgruntled over not being given a party ticket, to contest from the Kalka Assembly seat.

Having remained missing from Shakti Rani Sharma’s campaign activities for nearly two weeks, she was seen in attendance for the first time during the visit of former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Haryana Assembly election in-charge and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s to the constituency.

Party’s Panchkula district president Deepak Sharma, Shakti Rani Sharma’s husband and Jan Chetna party leader Venod Sharma also attended the event wherein Khattar asked people to vote for Shakti Rani and form a BJP government for the third consecutive time in the state.

A communication from the party stated that on Wednesday, Latika Sharma joined the BJP’s office to back Shakti Rani Sharma.

Latika, who had been missing from party campaigns since the announcement of Shakti Rani Sharma’s candidature, had earlier expressed dissatisfaction over not being given ticket. Today, she said it was duty of every party supporter to ensure Shakti’s victory in the Assembly elections.

She said, “Party workers should spread the messages of BJP government’s works in the constituency and ensure another victory for the BJP.”

BJP will form government for third time: Khattar

Former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said the BJP would win the Kalka seat by a huge margin. “We will create history by forming the government for the third time in Haryana,” he said.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said all workers should unite and ensure victory for the party candidates.
