Alert bystanders intervened and managed to scare the dogs away, saving the cub from harm. The incident was reported to the Forest Department, which dispatched a rescue team to the location. The team rescued the cub.

According to Forest Inspector Surjeet, the animal may have wandered off from its mother while they were drinking water by the river. The cub is now in the care of the department, while a search operation has been launched in the surrounding area to ensure that no other leopard cubs are missing or in distress.

Authorities have urged residents of Pinjore region to remain vigilant and avoid venturing close to forested or riverside areas, particularly during early mornings and evenings. The increased presence of wild animals in the vicinity has raised concerns, prompting calls for caution and timely reporting of any wildlife sightings.
