A leopard with one of its paws cut fell into a ground-level water tank at Tikri village of Morni block in Panchkula district on Thursday.

The animal was in agony because of its severed right paw, the result of suspected poaching activity. This leopard seemed to have escaped from a jaw-trap. One leopard was resuced from a trap a few months ago.
