Manga Singh, in his complaint to the police, said on October 5, 2017, his uncle Jarnail Singh had a quarrel with Mahinder Singh after cattle entered into the former’s fields. However, they reached a compromise. The next day, accused Gurdeep confronted Jarnail over the quarrel. Jatinder went to the police to report the matter on his motorcycle. On the way, Gurdeep, along with a few others, followed him in a car. Gurdeep tried to ram his car into Jatinder’s motorcycle near two brick-kilns, after which the biker fell down.
