Two local judokas have bagged medals in the School Games Federation of India U-17 National held in Agartala (Tripura).

Divanshi Miglani won silver medal in the 70 kg category. The international judoka won first fight against Rufushia of Jammu & Kashmir by ippon, followed by an identical win over Mansi of Navodya Vidhyalya. In the third bout, she defeated Sayanti of Tripura by Ippon, and later won the semifinal against Vootkuri of Telangana Bhagti by ippon.

In the final, she went down against Radhika of Haryana. Jaishree won bronze medal in the -70kg event. Bagging her first national medal, she won her first fight over Manorama of Rajasthan by penalty Hansukumake, followed by wins against Pranali of Maharashtra and Karnataka’s Nisha by ippon. She lost her semifinal bout against Harnoor of Punjab by wazzari score and won bronze medal bout against Ananya of Delhi by Ippon.

Meanwhile, Devanshu Sharma won Bronze Medal in the SGFI U-19 School Games in Ludhiana. Sharma claimed the third position in the 40kg event. All judokas are trained by coach Vivek Thakur at the Sector 34 Sports Complex.
