A special Lok Adalat will be held to dispose of traffic challans at the District Courts here from March 3 to 8.

The decision to hold the week-long Lok Adalat has been taken to avoid heavy rush of people. The District Court authorities have also appealed to people to use the facility of virtual courts to pay their traffic challans. On successful payment and realisation of fine amount, the case is automatically disposed of through virtual court

More staff will be deployed and extra arrangements made for the Lok Adalat.

The courts are receiving a large number of traffic challans generated through CCTV surveillance system every day. In case people wish to contest their challans, they can do so using the hybrid mode of hearing, which includes video-conferencing to appear before the court.
