Third National Lok Adalat of the year will be held on September 14. Cases pertaining to criminal compoundable offences, NI Act under Section-138, bank recovery, accident compensation, matrimonial disputes, labour, land acquisition, electricity and water bills (excluding non-compoundable theft cases), etc will be taken up at the Lok Adalat.

Surabhi Prashar, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Mohali, held a meeting with the representatives of revenue departments, banks, MC and others.

They were asked to file pre-litigative cases in the National Lok Adalat for settlement. Such cases can be taken up at the without filing a regular case as well as affixing court fee.
