Maanvi wins gold in gymnastics

Maanvi of KBDAV School, Sector 7, claimed the top position in the ball event of the girls’ U-10 category during the ongoing 47th Chandigarh State Artistic, Rhythmic, Aerobic Gymnastics (Boys &Girls) Championship at the Sector 7 sports complex. Parnika Sah of St Anne’s School, Sector 32, claimed the second position and Amayra of Ankur School, Sector 14, bagged the third position.

In the clubs event, Maanvi, Amayra and Vani claimed the top three positions, respectively, while in the free-hand category, Maanvi bagged the top position, followed by Amayra at second position and Pragati and Parnika at the joint third position. In the girls’ U-12 hoop (rhythmic gymnastics) event, Kaniva Sharma won the top spot, followed by Aarya Dhiman at second position and Nitya Sharma at third. Aarya also won the gold medal in the ball event, followed by Kaniva at second and Nitya at third.

Aarya of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 10, claimed the overall winners’ trophy, followed by Kaniva at second and Nitya at third. In the senior’s aerobic gymnastics event, Rahul Kori of GGDSD College, Sector 32, claimed the top podium position, followed by Vishal of SGGS Collegiate School, Sector 26, and Rohan of Sector 32 college at second and third position, respectively.

In the women juniors’ aerobic gymnastics, Riniki Kanojia, Aafia Jamal and Muskan claimed the top three positions, respectively, while in the men individual events, Rohit of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 38, won the top position, followed by Daksh of SD School, Sector 24, and Krishan of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 38. In the girls’ sub-juniors aerobic gymnastics, Aalia of Government Model High School, Sector 43, won the top position, followed by Aatika at second position and Dilsirat at third.
