The state government today shifted Mohali SSP Satinder Singh to Jalandhar (Rural) while posting Navjot Singh Mahal in his place. Also, DIG Inderbir Singh has been posted as DIG, Ferozepur range.

Navjot is nephew of Congress minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa. Ex-CM Capt Amarinder Singh had removed him from the post of the Hoshiarpur SSP when Bajwa had fallen out with the CM. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
