During the operation, illegal road networks and damp proof courses (DPCs) constructed in unauthorised colonies at Batour, Barwala and Manak Tabra villages were demolished using JCB machines.
The action was taken in the presence of Duty Magistrate Dimpy Rathi, Assistant Town Planners Ashok Kumar and Shanu Raman, Junior Engineer Anil, and a large police force.
DTP Sanjay Narang informed that prior notices had been issued by the department to violators. Since illegal constructions were not removed, the department was compelled to take strict action against violators. He further warned that any colony constructed or construction undertaken without approval from the Director, Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana, would invite stringent legal proceedings.
The public has been advised not to purchase or sell plots in unauthorised colonies and to obtain the necessary change of land use (CLU) or licence approvals before undertaking any construction.
