Man arrested under arms act

The city police have arrested a 38-year-old Ram Darbar resident under the Arms Act for possessing a knife. Accused Raj Kumar alias Gabbar was arrested from near 3BRD turn, Phase-I, Ram Darbar. The police said the accused had a criminal past with six cases registered against him at Sector 31 police station.

Cash snatched from mohali man

Three motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched Rs 7,000 and some documents from a Mohali resident. Complainant Durgeshwar Singh had reported that the incident took place near Verka booth in Sector 51. A case has registered at Sector 49 police station.

Two held for snatching phone

The city police have arrested two youths for snatching a mobile phone. The accused have been identified as Jatinder (19) and Samir (19), both residents of Kaimbwala. Complainant Mohammad Hujaifa of Bapu Dham Colony had reported that on October 21 while he was returning home, three pedestrians thrashed him and snatched his phone in Sector 28. A case was registered at Sector 26 police station.
