Kharar: Madanpal Singh, a resident of JTPL, Kharar, died after excessive consumption of liquor on Friday. Kulwinder Kaur, sister of the victim, said his wife Manju, had died on April 17 due to heart attack. The victim began to consume excessive liquor after the death of his wife. He was admitted to the Kharar Civil Hospital. OC

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
