A pedestrian died after being by a bus in Sector 43 here yesterday. The police have registered a case under Sections 281, 125-A and 106 of the BNS at the Sector 36 police station.

According to a complaint lodged by Mohammad Ilyas, a resident of Sector 56, a bus allegedly driven by Gurpreet Singh of Himachal Pradesh hit a pedestrian near the CRPF turn in Sector 43 on September 13. The victim was taken to the GMCH-32 where doctors declared him brought dead. The police are investigating the matter.
