Zirakpur, january 1

A 45-year-old man was found dead in the basement of a showroom in Dhakoli.

The police have taken the body into their possession and kept it in the mortuary of the Dera Bassi Civil Hospital for the next 72 hours. Localites said the deceased was a beggar. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
