The CIA Shahzadpur of the Ambala police has arrested a man and recovered 40-gram of heroin from his possession.

The suspect has been identified as Rahul, a resident of Mullana. He was produced before a court, which sent him to three-day police remand.

An Ambala police spokesperson said following the direction of Superintendent of Police Surinder Singh Bhoria, a special campaign was being run to nab drug peddlers. Following a tip-off that a drug peddler was present near Ambedkar Bhawan, a team of the CIA Shahzadpur conducted a raid on Thursday. The team members nabbed Rahul and recovered 40-gram heroin from his possession.

A case was registered against the suspect at the Mullana police station.
