Man loses ring in daylight snatching at Zirakpur

The victim, Parveen Bansal, a resident of Orbit Apartments on VIP Road, said two-car borne youths and two-bike borne youths snatched his ring near the Metro point. "They approached me when I was buying fruits from a roadside vendor in Zirakpur. After I made a payment through UPI and was about to leave, they forcibly took off my gold ring. They fled after I raised an alarm," the senior citizen said.
Zirakpur station house officer Satinder Singh and SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans said a DDR was registered and an investigating is underway.
In Lohgarh, meanwhile, miscreants stole a bike parked outside the busy Star Business Centre. The owner, Ajay, said, "I had parked my bike here in the morning but when I came back in the afternoon, the bike was missing."
Miscrent try to run over cop
The police, meanwhile, booked three unidentified persons for allegedly trying to run over a police personnel in Phase 10 last night. Cops said one accused has been arrested while three others managed to flee, hitting a cop in a bid to escape. An attempt to murder case was registered while a van was impounded.
