The police arrested a Uttar Pradesh native, Mohammed Hasim, and seized more than 4,000 intoxicant pills and capsules from him today.

The suspect has been booked under the NDPS Act at the Dera Bassi police station. He was produced in a court today, which remanded him in two-day police custody.

The police said the suspect was arrested from near the Focal Point area at a naka. He told the police that he had bought the intoxicant pills from Saharanpur and had come here to sell these.
