A bus driver ran over a young man near a government school in Burail.

The victim was rushed to the PGI by the police, where his condition was initially reported as critical. Both his legs were crushed in the accident. The police have registered a case against the accused and arrested him. He was later released on bail.

The victim, Rajesh (23), was a resident of Unnao and lived in Kajheri on rent.

According to the police, Rajesh was planning to travel to Unnao with his family. He was waiting for a bus near the school when it hit him, throwing him off balance. His legs came under the wheels and got crushed.

The police reached the spot upon receiving information and first took Rajesh to GMCH- 32, from where he was referred to the PGI. The bus has been impounded.
