He said his younger son Nikhil had purchased a second-hand motorcycle. He later sold it to accused Abhay for Rs 8,000. The buyer paid Rs 6,000 and promised to pay the remaining amount after the vehicle was registered in his name.

There had been repeated altercations between Nikhil and the accused over the unpaid amount. On November 14, 2021, Abhay attacked Nikhil with a sharp weapon. He rushed his son to the GMCH- 32 in an auto-rickshaw but the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
