The girls’ U-14 basketball team of Manav Mangal School, Mohali, recorded a 13-5 win over Manav Rachna School, Mohali.

Meanwhile, the boys’ U-14 team representing Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, defeated Delhi Public School, Sector 40, 33–26 on the second day of Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy, organised by Vivek High School, at the Sector 42 Sports Complex.

Vivek High School, Sector 38, put up a dominant show in the boys’ U-17 category by defeating St John’s School, Sector 26, 38–16.

Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36, posted a 27-2 win over Amity International School, Mohali, while St. Joseph’s School, Sector 44, defeated Delhi Public School, Mohali, 21–2. In the girls’ U-17 category, KV High Grounds, Chandigarh, registered a 27–14 victory over Saupin’s School, Mohali.

In the boys’ U-14 category, St Kabir School, Sector 26, edged past Manav Mangal School, Mohali, 29–25, while in the girls’ U-14 category, YPS Mohali, defeated The Tribune School, Sector 29, 26–11.

In the boys’ U-12 category, Learning Paths School, Mohali, defeated Saupin’s School, Mohali, 12–4. In the girls’ U-10 category, Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, overpowered Vivek High School, Mohali, 12–4.

A total of 73 teams from 21 schools are participating in the tournament.
