Manimajra housing project on agenda of MC meet today

The issue of Manimajra housing project is likely to dominate the general house meeting of the municipal corporation to be held today. The councillors of the Congress and AAP held a pre-house meeting today in which they discussed issues on which they can corner the ruling party.

On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party councillors also held meetings at the party office to discuss the plan to counter the opposition councillors.

Jasbir Singh Bunty, Senior Deputy Mayor, said that the project had been mired in controversy. He said that they would demand to hold a special house meeting on the Manimajra housing project.

He said that the agenda for the project was passed after illegally removing them from the House. The issue of 24x7 water supply project is also likely to discussed in the meeting as some opposition councillors are in favour of scrapping the project. On the other hand, a supplementary agenda for the project is likely to be brought before the House for the formation of a committee on the issue.
