Miscreants thrashed the employees and set a marble shop godown on fire in Zirakpur last night.

The godown owner, Barinder Kumar, a resident of Baltana, alleged that around 20 youths ransacked his godown, damaged finished goods and later set the shed on fire. The miscreants assaulted his employees when they tried to stop them from ransacking the godown.

A complaint has been registered. The victim said he suffered losses worth lakhs in the incident. The local raders and godown owners have condemned the incident and demanded stringent action against the miscreants. — TNS
