A large number of teachers, employees, and students participated in the ‘Unity March Against Terrorism’, organised by the Panjab University Teachers’ Association (PUTA) today.

The march started from the Student Centre and culminated at Gandhi Bhawan on the PU campus. The protesters condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam that resulted in the loss of 26 innocent lives.

PUTA president Prof Amarjit Singh Naura emphasised the importance of promoting peace, justice, and humanity in the face of terrorism.

As a mark of respect and solidarity with the victims and their families, a two-minute silence was observed. Candles were lit in the memory of the victims at Gandhi Bhawan.
